Van Gogh, Monet, Degas will be on view from March 17 - July 8, 2018. This spectacular exhibition of more than 70 masterpieces collected by renowned Pittsburgh-born philanthropist Paul Mellon (1907-1999) presents all the major movements and artists that defined French painting of the 1800s and early 1900s. Including almost all of the great names associated with French art from 1820 to 1920, the exhibition features works by Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, and Edgar Degas, as well as Gustave Courbet, Paul Gaugin, Edouard Manet, Henri Matisse, Berthe Morisot, Pierre-August Renoir, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Paul Cezanne, and many other iconic artists. The Frick is the opening venue for this major national touring exhibition. The exhibition is organized by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
