Clayton Magnet

The Frick Art & Historical Center is the legacy of Helen Clay Frick, daughter of nineteenth-century industrialist Henry Clay Frick. Located in a residential Pittsburgh neighborhood, it combines the beauty of five acres of gardens and lawns with collections of fine and decorative arts, antique cars and carriages, and historically significant artifacts. Its centerpiece is Clayton, the Frick family home, purchased in 1882, and enlarged in 1892, with major structural alterations by Pittsburgh architect Frederick J. Osterling.
